Fifteen - Taylor Swift

I took my niece Tianna to her first concert years ago and it was to see Taylor Swift. I'd never really heard any of her songs at that point, but this one was the main one she did that stood out that night. I know it's kind of lame for a definitely-not-fifteen-year-old to love this song, but I tried to fight it for years before giving in. It's so goddam catchy. And the line, "Back then I swore I was gonna marry him someday but I realized some bigger dreams of mine"?! C'mon, that's gold. 

In any case, I know this song's old and everyone knows it already, but it's literally still on my iPod and I love it to pieces.

The Best Elvis Song

Of all the Elvis songs I've heard, this one makes me the weepiest/happiest. But only when listened to late at night, near water and outdoors.

Could You Be Loved

I know there are a billion other more popular songs of his, but this one will forever be the only one I listen to on weekend mornings. 

April Come She Will

Was this song as popular as their others? 'Cause I heard it for the first time only a few years ago and loved it. Way better than that damn bridge song. 

Make Someone Happy - Jimmy Durante

I have been waiting for years for some company to finally use this perfect song in one of their campaigns. If it weren't Coca-Cola who'd claimed it, then I would've likely endorsed its usage here. Considering the fact that I'll never support Coke and their ludicrous "Open Happiness" campaign, there's no need to post the commercial here. I can, however, still share this perfect song. 

John Denver

John Denver was all I heard growing up in my house and I'll forever love this song. 

Chris Isaak - I Wonder

I'm here to tell you that Wicked Game wasn't his only great song.

Under The Stars

It might be abnormal to choose this as one of the top three songs from The Lion King, I realize. But do you remember the scene when it first played? At night? 'Cause it was memorable as hell. Love this so much.

River - Joni Mitchell

I know this isn't technically a Christmas song - but wait, it mentions Christmas in it SO I GUESS IT IS. Play this for someone who says they hate Christmas music - and if they still stand by that opinion? Walk away.
