Why the hell did they never show reruns of this show on The Game Show Network? I was constantly waiting for that day to come.
The Best TV To Watch On Netflix
I haven't had cable for years and once it's gone, you really never miss it. The thing I do miss, though? Having old-ish television shows on in the background as I'm cooking or lounging or cleaning or, you know, living. Yes, there are certain shows that are better to sit down and give your undivided attention. But there are other shows that you can treat as some sort of comforting background noise to accompany your day. Maybe it reminds me of being younger, maybe I'm still not over the nineties/aughts, maybe I'm afraid of silence, WHO KNOWS. Whatever the reason may be, if you share any of these same feelings, these shows will fill that void.
30 Rock
Assuming you've already seen the whole series (well, you really only need to watch the first four or five seasons, the final ones aren't that great), this is a perfect show to re-watch at your leisure. There are definitely jokes you've forgotten that were/are amazing.
Freaks & Geeks
Maybe the best thing James Franco ever did? I wish this were ten thousand seasons longer than it actually was.
Gilmore Girls
I realize I might not win any friends with this one, but this show definitely had its moments. And the fact that it's coming back (with Jess?!) is incredible so preparation for such an event is necessary.
Frasier
Hopefully, you already understand how great this show was/is, 'cause I'm not going to sit here and convince you. You either realize this or you don't. And if you don't? Get checked.
3rd Rock From The Sun
This is an example of a show I hated when I was younger. Hated. Little did I realize that John Lithgow is probably the greatest living actor of our generation and he deserves all of the awards ever for how he portrayed this role. Too much? Nope! Go watch.
Friday Night Lights
Okay, if you haven't watched this before, then you need to include it first on your "Must Sit Down And Give Full Attention To" list. It's amazing television - and that's coming from someone who gives zero shits about football (I'm still allowed to say that even if I partake in fantasy football since I still don't actually understand how the game is played). But this show? Pretty, pretty great.
Arrested Development
I will never tire of this show. Well, the first three seasons of it. And I swear to God, you'll make other, non-believers love it, too. Even those who "claim" they never watch comedies.
Friends
All right, listen. I'm not even the hugest Friends fan, I swear to you. But it's a pretty decent show to unwind with from time to time. (Ugh, you hate me, don't you. I can feel it.)
Futurama
There is so much that is perfect about this show, that I refuse to simplify how great it is - other than stating that it's probably the next best thing to having The Simpsons on Netflix.
Bob's Burgers
I think we're all well aware of how much I endorse this program.
And you know how it takes you a million years to decide on what to watch on Netflix? If you're not in the mood for an entire movie, then these are the perfect options to get you through a meal or, like, an hour of living a life.

That part at seven seconds where Jason Bateman almost laughs is my everything.
“Use coconut oil instead of butter when you make popcorn at home.”
10 Cloverfield Lane
Ummm, this looks fantastic.

“Evil spirits can’t harm you when you stand inside a circle.”
Style
Waaaaaay too late to this party, but I can't/won't/don't-know-how-to stop listening to this song. I'm sorry, upstairs neighbors.
“A very important thing is not to make up your mind that you are any one thing.”
My Brother's Meaning of Life Definition
GUEST POST! I asked my brother Robbie to write a post on whatever he liked, so off we go!
"I was asked to write a guest blog by Liz. After reading my other brothers guest blog I realized I had to go bigger and bolder.
The Meaning Of Life
It’s a question that has been asked by many since the dawn of civilization. The answer is: it’s in us always. Most of the time, the meaning is behind a door that’s shut within our soul and body. A lucky few have felt that door open and have seen inside, but only for brief moments since the door doesn't stay open long - and when it’s shut, the meaning fades away like a dream you try to remember when you wake. Some of us have never felt that feeling when the door opens, others may have felt it once, and few have felt it for only a limited amount of time. The feeling you get at an airport when you see your loved one return, a beautiful song, a sunset, a hug, and a kiss are all glimpses of this - as though you're hearing the door creak open, but you're unable to see inside. The same can go for negative experiences, a death, an accident, a moment of despair, or crying. To connect one of these experiences to the meaning is the hard part. The missing component is the self-knowledge and clarity of your own mind. It’s the idea that your mind is so busy doing multiple tasks that on occasion when you stop or slow down the process, you can allow your mind to see. As an example, your busy mind is a bulletin board with notes, pictures, ideas, diagrams, and charts - and as you slow down and allow your mind to relax, you remove all of the stuff on the board to reveal that is not a board, but a window into a beautiful landscape or something else that may inspire you. The combination of clarity and an experience can be compared to two cars crashing at an intersection that in turn will reveal the meaning of it all. As I said before, the meaning of the open door is always brief and can never stay open long. For some people, that moment that all is right in the world where they fully value the understanding of it all will fade into oblivion. For other people, it will remain like a distant memory from his/her childhood. The true test is not the pursuit of meaning, but the pursuit of life - to experience, to live, to be scared, to laugh, to cry, to be open to possibility. When you’re doing just that and the door opens, STOP, realize in awe the true beauty of life’s meaning, and keep on living."
