Designer Tom Medwin has created what he calls the "Best Morning Ever Mug," which has been designed to keep your coffee or tea warmer for a longer amount of time after you pour it, as well as provide a surface that acts as a doughnut warmer. $15 gets you one if they reach their Kickstarter goal (which they totally have already).
Smell Based Alarm Clock
Paris-based entrepreneur Guillaume Rolland has invented the “SensorWake,” the world’s first scented alarm clock that will wake you up using smell instead of sound.
You can choose from a wide assortment of scents, like coffee, croissants, the ocean, or even the smell of money. Even Google recognizes its potential, awarding it as one of the top 15 inventions “that can change the world” at the 2014 Google Science Fair." You can fund it on Kickstarter, if you so please.
Amazing.
To Catch A Predator IS RETURNING
The last original episode of the best reality show of all-time was filmed in December of 2008 and since then I have waited with bated breath for news of its resurrection.
A Kickstarter emerged for the new show (entitled Hansen vs. Predator), and the team ultimately raised $89,068, which was well above their initial goal. Hansen has stated that the new show will be similar to To Catch A Predator.
"We'll be having decoys come into different areas where predators may exist to conduct our investigations," he said. "That will be similar. We'll set up a house or a public place."
The biggest difference is their partnership with LexisNexis — the company that specializes in legal and business research will allow them to "find out more about a person before they actually show up at the location to be interviewed." He adds, "So, I can envision a scenario where we could show somebody's life—they're a teacher or a doctor—so you have a fuller picture and a better investigation."
I've read that Hansen vs. Predator will be underway before the end of the year and that the team is already meeting with distributors and law enforcement agencies across the country. Hansen also said that while the show will continue to focus on adult predators going after children, they may expand into other types of predators, including financial scammers and other online bad guys.
Butter Up Knife
Kickstarter is great for a lot of reasons, but the main one? BRINGING THIS BUTTER KNIFE TO LIFE. Each knife costs $11 and since their campaign has been crazy popular, you'll have to wait until early next year if you want to own one.
Such a smart idea.
Sidenote: I really want to be one of those people who lets their butter just sit out on the counter in a nice holder like this one. Do you have to have kids to make that dream a reality? Who's eating that much daily butter to make this feasible? I put butter on something maybe once a week, I can't leave it out just for me. These are my problems. Get that knife.
