“If you enjoy free appetizers at restaurants, show up really early for when you’re meeting someone. You’ll look so pathetic waiting for a really long time that they’re 80% likely to comp you something. This has happened to me twice. It’s a thing.”
Chef John's Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip
I yearn to be a great cook. I like to think that I try my best, but I'm just not that great at it. But this dip? I can make this flawlessly and people actually eat it with a smile - so this will be one of my great go-to things to make for the rest of my days. I know I've mentioned it once quickly before in another post, but I wanted to put up the video for it as well. Also, do you know how much I love this man - Chef John? A lot. (I've mentioned my love for him in the past.) He's just the best and his recipes are almost always amazing. Anyway, you can watch the video for the recipe or go on over here for a print out. Tasty as hell.
Best Garlic Bread

I saw this recipe on an episode of Big Daddy’s House years ago. That man (Aaron McCargo Jr.) just has a great presence, and maybe that’s a dumb reason to assume he makes good food, but he does. Also, his earrings are fantastic. I’ve made this tons of times and it is always amazing (I even burned it once and it still tasted better than most of what has come out of my kitchen). If you like garlic bread even a tiny bit, you must make this. Why does it taste so good? Maybe ‘cause it has A MILLION INGREDIENTS. And I trust that.
You can see the recipe here.
BLT Deviled Eggs Recipe (link) →
These eggs are outrageous. Even if you burn the bacon, it’ll still taste pretty nuts. (Sidenote: I don’t normally even LIKE eggs. The very idea of them seems too gross to manage.) But these? Yikes. Crazy tasty.
