Remember how much I loved Baghead? Yeah, I think this one might be even creepier/better. Definitely check it out if you have any kind of faith in my recommendations.
Up In Real Life
We all remember how great this scene was.
To commemorate their 60th wedding anniversary, these fantastic grandparents of pianist Jason Lyle Black recreated scenes from the opening married life montage from Pixar's 2009 computer-animated film Up, and performed a piano duet of the film's theme song.
The Baby
Why oh why am I just learning of this movie’s existence NOW?
The Visit
All I can say about this movie is this: GO SEE IT. I completely didn't expect it to be watchable and/or good, but me and Nathan had such a fun time seeing it.
I haven't loved the past few M. Night Shyamalan movies (I really only liked The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable), but this one's such a treat. Go, go, go!
(Sidenote: Have you seen Unbreakable? It's, like, really really good. Get on that too, if you haven't already.)
Toy Story
Wes Craven 1939 - 2015
I gotta say, this really bummed me out and I didn't expect it to. I've loved this man's movies since I was just a kid, so it's upsetting to think that there'll never be another Wes Craven movie. I remember sneaking into my brother's room after school to watch Scream for the first time and feeling it absolutely terrify me (c'mon, I was 11) and writing down every detail of it to tell my friends at school the next day. I'll never forget that feeling. It was around that time that I really started to get into horror movies and ultimately, more into Halloween as a result. So in an indirect way, I kind of owe thanks to that man. Ugh. It really sucks that he's gone.
Great
I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but I'm all over this video.
The Purple Rose of Cairo
Amongst all of my favourite Woody Allen movies (Annie Hall, Midnight in Paris, Everyone Says I Love You, Anything Else and Vicky Cristina Barcelona), this one is definitely my favourite. The overly-whimsical storyline is enough to make me fall in love with it, but then the ending happens and couldn’t be any more perfect. Obviously I won't give away what happens, but if you've ever given a guff about any of this man's movies, this is the only one you ever need to see.
As Real As You And Me - Rihanna
HAVE YOU HEARD THIS SONG?
My niece Layla was watching Home on DVD in my parent's living room and I heard this song from the other room, came in to watch the scene with this song playing, watched for a few minutes, cried, then left to go lay down for a minute. Does that make me seem like a maniac? 'Cause it happened just that way.
This song is real as fuck. Gotta remember to watch that whole movie in full.
The Final Scene in Crocodile Dundee
Honestly, this movie really holds up over time. But this scene especially? Man. I looooove it.
