I'm not a fan of Jay Leno at all (when I was younger I LOVED his headlines bit, shoot me) and this video is probably too long for you to want to watch (8 minutes), but this lady seems fun as hell. Honestly I'm a fan of anyone over the age 65 and still smiling. Why do I see so many angry seniors?! Makes me so mad. A smile ain't gonna kill you.
The Simpsons
ON STAGE
Principal Skinner: Welcome to the world premiere of The Nice Man Giveth!
IN AUDIENCE
Mr. Burns: Ugh. FOCUS!
Smithers: It's a play, sir.
Jon Stewart Being Great
Ready or Not Episodes on YouTube
So... we're all in agreeance that this was the best show to come out of Canada, yeah? One time I saw Busy in a washroom in Mississauga and talked about it consistently for about three years. One day the full series will come out on DVD, but until then they're all over YouTube, baby.
MAC To Launch a Marge Simpson-inspired Makeup Line
Why? No idea. Oh wait, I do know. It's 'cause of the 25th anniversary of the show.
Am I intrigued, MAC? Of course!
The 10-piece line includes lip glosses, false eyelashes, nail stickers, brightly coloured eyeshadows and blushes. The limited edition line goes on sale online on August 28th and will be available in MAC stores everywhere September 4th. You can take a look at the products below.
- Two different four-piece eyeshadow sets ($53/each)
- Fake eyelashes ($22)
- Tinted lipgloss, available in four different shades ($20)
- Powder blush, available in two different shades ($28.50)
- Nail stickers ($19)
My thoughts? Way too expensive. And I'm a huge fan of MAC and The Simpsons. But $20 for a "Nacho Cheese" coloured lip gloss? Get real. I am considering buying one of the blushes since I'm not happy with the Nars one I'm trying to get through right now. (Why do all blushes have to have that tiny hint of sparkle in them? I don't want to sparkle! I want a subtle glow, damnit.) Anyway, all of these products are way too much money and they will all definitely sell out so I guess I'll just shut my mouth.

Bobby Hill
It's weird how Bobby Hill wasn't as beloved as say a Milhouse or a Fry. Kid's the best.
The Mindy Project Fashion
You're already aware that I can't say enough good things about Mindy Kaling. One thing that I haven't commented on before, though, has been her wardrobe on The Mindy Project. Everything she wears is so goddam colourful and full of life - it's refreshing as hell. I can't think of any other character on a television show whose wardrobe is so memorably unique (other than maybe Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory - and it irks me to even admit to watching that show, still).
Ignoring the fact that she doesn't show as much cleavage as I would prefer, I love every choice that she/her wardrobe department has made. I just came across this site that gives you information on almost everything she's ever worn on it, incase you were wanting to seek out any of the pieces and wear them yourself.
Love this.
Bic Pens For Her
Other than the times that she scares people on her show, I don't really have an opinion on Ellen. (Those scare pranks? Oh, man are they great. Just in general. So funny to see someone's scared reaction.) But anyway, yeah - no real opinion on Ellen. Seems okay, I guess. But this is just great. (Thanks Adele for posting it originally and showing me!)
Reasons To Love Maya Rudolph
I know it's not just me who feels this way. The woman is fantastic. And yes, this list just contains her movies. But that's makes sense, doesn't it? I'm not lucky enough to know this woman intimately! If I ever meet her one day, I'll be sure to update this post with a small, "She's actually the best, guys" note at the bottom.
- Maya Angelou's I Know Why the Caged Bird Laughs
5. I'm stating this pre-emptively, but it's probably going to be great... The Maya Rudolph Show airs its hour long, pilot episode on May 19th at 10pm EST.
