Someone pieced together the entire McBain movie from The Simpsons AND IT’S GREAT.
“Go re-watch Frasier. It’s on Netflix.”
Tom & Lorenzo's Mad Men Style Blog
I can't describe how much I love this Mad Men style blog. I wish I'd known of its existence years ago, I would've loved to have followed along with their posts as I watched episodes in real time. If you've ever watched the show and enjoyed it, there's the slightest chance that you might really love the blog as much as I do. It's just so well written, I really can't get enough of it. You can read some for yourself from the links below.
Episode 8: Severance
Episode 9: New Business
Episode 10: The Forecast
Episode 11: Time & Life
Episode 12: Lost Horizon
Episode 13: The Milk and Honey Route
Episode 14: Person To Person
Lenny & Carl
I know I'll never get a tattoo, but can someone I love please just get this one so I can look it all the time in real life?
I've seen so many good Simpsons tattoos on people, but this one is definitely my favourite.
I've tried to find out who designed it so I can credit them here and bow down to them eternally for creating it, but I haven't had any luck. If I do find out, I'll be sure to update this.
Tiny Dogs Who Think They're Big
Other than my mom and Ma, am I the last person on earth who still kind of enjoys AFV? If you don't know what that stands for, I'm not telling you and you're not better than me.
Jordan Schlansky on Conan
I know these clips are old, but there's something about this man (if he isn't an actor) that I can't stop watching. I don't mean 'cause he's good looking - it's just the way in which he speaks. Everything that comes out of his mouth is so eloquent and funny.
Douglas Coupland Foreword
I'm not sure why but I remember being so excited when I found out that Douglas Coupland was a huge Simpsons fan. I'm not even really a fan of him (though I know nothing of the man so I guess I don't like or dislike him), but whenever someone talented and known loves The Simpsons, it makes me almost giddy. Just really, really happy. (I've heard that Daniel Radcliffe even watches the commentaries!)
I know that I've already shared a few things that I've loved from this book - and here's one more!
Seinfeld Bloopers
I swear to God I’m not the type of person to love all bloopers of just any television show. Not at ALL. But Seinfeld bloopers? C’mon, man. Each season has a 22-23 minute long blooper reel and if you ever gave a shit about the show, then I know you'll be into seeing these.
I'm not sure how long they've been available on YouTube, but for years you could only watch them as extras on the DVDs so this is kind of amazing.
Simpsons Birthday Episodes
With my 30th birthday coming up, this was the first birthday card I'd received (and to be honest, the absolute best one). Other than the sweet written sentiments, the main reason I loved it so much was for the list of Simpsons-themed birthday episodes that I was recommended to re-watch. Is it just me or is that the nicest idea to list these episodes out? I hadn't seen a few of these in years and loved the hell out of being reminded to. Greg and Katie, you're the best. I hope you don't mind me scanning that card to post it here. SUCH a great idea and I absolutely loved it.
Lego Kwik-E-Mart
Normally, I wouldn't give a shit about new LEGO products. But this one, clearly, caught my eye.
Here are just a few of its features;
- Opening rear walls
- A removable roof with secret vegetable garden
- Dusty blue floors
- Refrigerated cases
- Crates of Powersauce bars
- Surveillance cameras
- Cans of Buzz Cola
- Frozen Jasper
- Hot dog oven
- Squishee machine and Squishees
- Rear storage closet with a rat, cheese and rat hole
Ummm, secret vegetable garden?! That's so great. I would build and showcase the hell out this in, like, my bedroom or something. Such a great idea. I feel like if they're capable of selling this, they're definitely willing to do Moe's Tavern or something at some point.
