Prince Street Pizza

I have found my favourite slice in New York City and it's the "spicy spring" at Prince Street Pizza and it will melt your face. Do those pools of grease gross you out? If so, I genuinely feel for you. I'm not saying that I seek out that kind of grease, but c'mon. It's not that big a deal. If it bothers you that much then just turn the slice and let it drip a bit into a napkin, fancypants Sally. Is that still repulsive? Ugh. If that's the case, I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to please leave my blog.

There are so many places in this city for a shitty slice, so if you find yourself near Nolita or Soho, get the hell over here and try this. (But if you're looking for a killer sitdown pizzeria? That's a whole different story. I'll have a post on that soon.)

AMC on 84th Street

Umm, LOOK AT THESE MOVIE THEATRE SEATS! 

These are the newly renovated theatre seats at an AMC on the Upper West Side (on 84th Street). Is this a fucking joke? Can this be reality? How can this sort of unholy cinema kindness happen overnight? I don't know whose idea this was, but wow. I'm going here immediately and will report back on how it was. You can read about all the other renovations at the theatre here, if you want.

I wouldn't call myself a Star Wars fan, but this page was the very first one I bookmarked on the internet years ago. Why this one? I don't know, I've never been very smart. I'm pretty sure the second site I bookmarked was ArchieComics.com, so I think you can get a sense of my priorities at that time.

I don't use this button as often as I used to, but it can come in handy in certain situations and might still be relevant today. Feel free to bookmark. There's also an app for it (of course there is).

The Whiskey Wedge

The purpose of this glass? You can keep your whiskey cold without watering it down. When you order one set ($15), it includes an old fashioned whiskey glass and a silicone mold. You put some water in the glass, insert the mold, then freeze. The ice "forms into a wedge and, similar to a glacier, melts slowly due to the reduced amount of surface area."

At first this sounded like a lot of effort to me, but if you have at least one drink a night when you come home from work, if this is waiting for you in a freezer? That's pretty sweet to come home to. Ya know, if you're into that kind of thing. You can buy a set over here.
