Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day will always be important to me notably because of my father (and basically everyone else in his family who fought in WWII). It's beyond my comprehension how he was able to handle something like that, but I'll forever be impressed by it.

I was very close with my Uncle Fred (my dad's brother) before he passed away in 2009, so I think of him endearingly on this day as well.

In any case, I hope you stop for a minute at 11am today. And I hope that you do each year, whether you're in school or at work or even at home. It seems important to never stop doing that.

Meet Dev (Aziz Ansari), a 30-year-old actor in New York who has trouble deciding what he wants to eat, much less the pathway for the rest of his life. Master of None stars Aziz Ansari, Noël Wells, Eric Wareheim, Lena Waithe, Kelvin Yu, and H. Jon Benjamin.

Thoughts

• It really makes me uncomfortable to watch Aziz Ansari have sex. I don't intend for that to be as mean as it sounds. I think it's just 'cause his personality seems so young and almost child-like that it makes me uncomfortable to see him in any kind of sexual manner.
• The "Mornings" episodes was my very favourite.
• Denise is absolutely the best character.
• The scene that shows the difference between a woman walking home late at night compared with a man is so perfect and great, I wish I could find a clip of it to show here.
• Honestly, this man is just too silly for me at times so I can't watch more than an hour at a time - but splitting up the episodes over a week makes it so much more likable.
• The ending was great!

8000% Bigger Lash Volume

Am I the only one who really laughs at these ads? It makes me yearn to see the data behind how they came to that "400%" result. And what blows my mind is that someone actually approved this ad! What kind of morons are women expected to be to witness this kind of trash? Oh! And the "Katy is wearing lash inserts" line couldn't be more perfect. Go fuck yourself, Covergirl.
