As you may recall, I like to vacation in Florida. And this year is no different!
My friend Jenn and I recently returned from St. Augustine, which is "the nation's oldest permanently occupied European settlement, having been founded by the Spanish in 1565."
We choose it mainly because it seemed beautiful and neither of us had been before. We stayed at an Airbnb and had such a great time, here were the highlights:
- Drinking from Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth
- We had our best meal of the trip at Collage (but steer clear of the Blackfly, the sister restaurant, which was absolutely average, at best)
- Ghost hunting on a train at night
- Some of the best hard tacos I've ever had
- Spending literally each day at our private pool
Does it seem like we didn't do very much? 'Cause we didn't. And it was amazing. It was such a great trip, I would definitely visit again someday.
