Summer has come and gone, and while I briefly stifle my excitement for the upcoming season, let’s recap how I did with my summer list of activities.
See the rooftop exhibit at The Met.
I did! You can see photos from the exhibit over here.
Go swimming at least twice.
Absolutely. Once at The Rockaway Hotel and once at a public pool near my parent’s house.
Go to a carnival.
Astoria street fairs unfortunately do not count, so it’s a no on this one.
Go to a baseball game.
Not even kinda planned this out.
Tan on Governor’s Island.
Ah man, this one I really wanted to do. Next year for sure.
Eat oysters by the water.
Damn it! Okay, this one stings.
Make homemade crab cakes.
Yes! And they were insanely good!
Go fruit picking somewhere outside of NYC.
Make the Milk Bar cake.
Errrrr…. no.
Make pina coladas at home.
Made them with Mom! Will do again.
5/10! Wow, I really thought I did better than that. In fact, this is exactly as good as my grade nine math final mark - disappointing but not completely embarrassing. Oh well! Grades don’t define me thankfully (wait, should grades define me??).
Autumn list coming tomorrow!
