LIZ HEATHER

January 8, 2013

This is a print that my dear friend Harmeet gave me as a gift and had mounted in a gorgeous frame that currently hangs on my wall. I feel like the gifts I’ve loved the most over the years either hang on my wall or involve Woody Allen.

It’s a page from the book Bob and Bill See Canada: A Travel Story in Rhyme for Boys and Girls, written by Alfred Uren and illustrated by W. Goode. I tried to find some more information about it, but all I could come up with was that it was published before 1923.  Each page centers around a different province (this one is Ontario - in Ottawa, specifically) and every page is as good as this one, really.
