California artist Queenie Liao took this series of photos - entitled Wengenn in Wonderland - that show her baby boy on magical adventures when he is sleeping and dreaming. She used “plain cloths, sheets, scarves, stuffed animals, and other common household materials to create the background settings” for Wengenn’s dreams. Can't even tell you how much I love this. I think the trapeze one is my favourite. Click on the photo to see more.
Person To Follow - Mike Scully
Sometimes Follow Fridays (#ff) ) aren't enough. Sometimes you need full posts devoted to endorsing good people to follow on Twitter. And if you are on Twitter, you should definitely be following Mike Scully.
I first heard of him when he was the showrunner on The Simpsons and I listened to countless commentaries that he was apart of for the show. He's really funny and seemed crazy nice from those commentaries, so I added him and I'm so glad I did. Here are some of my favourites of his:

Eat Raisins!
Are you eating raisins? You really should be. Everyone and their brother has been telling me to eat breakfast for years, so I've started. And the only consistent cereal that I can daily love is any form of raisin bran (and I don't mean the Kellogg's one - get an organic brand, like the one shown below, so the raisins don't come coated in extra sugar).
Cascadian Farm Organic
And every time I find one of those sweet little raisins on my spoon full of milk, I get maybe 5% excited. Why is this? I don't know, I guess I treat the raisins as the little prizes of my breakfast. They're definitely the highlight of forcing myself to eat bran every morning, but I've also come to realize that they're just really tasty in general. Do you have any idea how good they are for you? Other than the eons of reasons why they're so good for you, here were the ones that stood out in my mind.
- Enhances mouth health
Unlike candy, raisins contain oleanolic acid, which provides protection against cavities and tooth decay, and prevents the growth of harmful bacteria that can cause gingivitis and other periodontal diseases.
- Enhances bone health
Raisins are a rich source of calcium, which is necessary to strengthen bones and teeth. A micronutrient that is abundant in raisins–boron–aids in calcium absorption and bone formation. If you are a postmenopausal woman, raisins are a good snack for you because the calcium and boron present in them help prevent the development of osteoporosis.
- Stimulates sexuality
You could find natural stimulation through regular consumption of raisins. An amino acid in raisins called arginine helps to arouse the libido.
All those facts were found here.

Seinfeld Costumes
Last Halloween post, I swear. Hope you all had a great night!
The puffy shirt, Elaine and Puddy
Happy Halloween!
Considering how much I loved Elaine, it's a personal shock that I only came up with the idea of going as her only this year. Maybe it's not the best costume you've seen, but I tried my hardest. (Honestly, I think the tiny backpack makes me just nail it, but I'm obviously biased.)
However you're spending tonight, please incorporate SOME kind of small acknowledgement that it's Halloween. Like what, you say? Here are some prime ideas!
- Eat chocolate
- Eat chocolate with nuts
- Scare a loved one
- Turn off the lights
- Watch Hocus Pocus
- Or watch any of these festive episodes
However you spend it, I hope it's a great time!
CANDY!

Mom Says
What Halloween Means To Me
Dad & baby me being horrified by Halloween
Dad & baby me being horrified by Halloween
Like many people, Halloween is my favourite holiday. Here are my reasons why:
- You not only get to dress up, but you get to be WHATEVER YOU WANT. And maybe that's something that my therapist should look further into, but this element of Halloween has always been my favourite aspect of the day.
- Free candy. Everywhere. For kids and adults? Are we serious? That's amazing.
- Dogs in costumes. I am not a person who likes dressing up dogs in people clothes, this gives me no joy. But put a pug in a Darth Vader suit? I'm yours. This is a delicious image, always. And I'll be okay with this only because everyone should get to partake in this wondrous day.
- Halloween episodes of sitcoms. You know this already because of previous posts. It's rare that I find a Halloween themed sitcom episode that I can't stand. They're solid as hell.
- Those parades that happen in elementary schools where all the kids walk around and show off their costumes? Gold. I don't know where this idea came from, but I fully endorse it.
- It's very hard for me to watch some horror movies (here's a tip for you if you feel the same way) because of how scared I can get, yes, but around this time of year? I'll force myself to do it. On some level, it makes me feel alive to be that afraid of something, even for a minute.
- Scaring children. I love it. One year, my friend Harmeet and I turned my parent's house into this really horrifying place to be, we dressed up and lurked around the outside of the house and scared a ton of children that night. This was definitely in my top three of best Halloween nights. Everyone should do something like this at least once.
One thing that sucks about being in New York is that so few kids actually go trick-or-treating at houses - they tend to go to stores and restaurants, apparently. So there's no reason to really decorate my own house since no one'll show up, which is kind of a downer. I definitely will celebrate and go out to something, and I hope you do, too. Or at the very least, carve a pumpkin and put a candle in it, bud. You're not better than Halloween.

Sitcom Halloween Episodes - The Final Part
Shows That Had Only One or Two Great Halloween Episodes
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Hex and the Single Guy (Also, I know that Fresh Prince had another Halloween episode, but this one was world's better, so it's the only one worth mentioning.)
Saved by the Bell - Mystery Weekend (Yes, this isn't a Halloween one, but murder mystery weekends count.)
The special, two-part season six Halloween episode of Growing Pains (part one & part two)
Blossom - Season Three - All Hallows Eve
Living Single - Trick or Trust
Who’s The Boss - Misery (not a Halloween one, but it’s a Misery parody and it’s perfect)
Modern Family - okay I don’t like this show, but I love these two episodes: Halloween and The Last Halloween
Bob's Burgers (list below) (clearly I should add an entire new post for this show)
Runner Ups - Shows That Had Some Great Halloween Episodes
Family Matters

Perfect Strangers
Can't even tell you how giddy this screenshot always makes me.
If you're wondering where my Simpsons Halloween post is - aww, you're really cute. Of course I love those episodes, but I can't possibly list my favourites for you to peruse. That's the joy of watching those episodes, picking and choosing a few different ones to watch each year since there are so many to choose from!
